The DAN Europe Training Committee consists of Medical Advisors and Regional Training Coordinators who actively represent DAN Education in their respective regions, oversee Instructor Trainer Workshops, ensure quality assurance, and contribute to business development.

Simone is a highly experienced professional with over 30 years experience in first aid and occupational safety training. As a freelance consultant, he works with leading multinational companies specialising in electro-medical equipment and automated chest compression systems. Simone is dedicated to producing educational content for both lay and medical emergency responders, while also overseeing the implementation of cardioprotection projects nationwide. He has an impressive 25 years experience as a diving instructor.

Among them: Licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Lifeguard Instructor, American College of Surgeons STOP THE BLEED® Instructor, Course Director and Regional Training Manager of NAUI for Portugal and Spain. Fond of cave and wreck diving, Commercial diver, Boat licence holder, Expert in underwater filming, Founder and owner of PARAMAX Diving and Rescue School in Madrid since 2004, Active member of a civil protection rescue team.

Stilianos Matsoukatidis

Stilianos Matsoukatidis is a multi-talented professional in the diving industry, specialising in IT, first aid, technical, rebreather, and wreck diving. His daily activities include maintaining diving equipment, performing hydrostatic testing on scuba tanks, and sharing his expertise through teaching. Stilianos takes pride in encouraging the growth of individuals and finds great honor and challengen to serve as a DAN RTC for Sweden.

Allan Holst
DENMARK

Professional background
Allan Holst started diving in 1983 and became a firefighter in 1986. He has been involved in these professions ever since.

In the early 1990s, he took his first DAN Oxygen Provider course in the Canary Islands, which marked the beginning of his involvement with DAN. He continues to be a proud member and expresses his love for it.

In addition to being a Scuba Instructor since 1986, Allan has been a DAN Trainer since 1996. In 2018 he took on the role of DAN Safety Advisor and Officer.

Manuel Preto
PORTUGAL & MIDDLE EAST

Professional background
Manuel Preto is a diving instructor/trainer with a career spanning since 1989. He is currently working as a trainer for various diving agencies, including CMAS, SSI, PADI and SDI/TDI, covering both recreational and technical diving, as well as owing his diving and hyperbaric training centre. Since 2005, Manuel has worked as a consultant for several hyperbaric facilities as chamber operator, safety and programme manager and currently holds the position of Vice President of EBAss (European Baromedical Association for Nurses Operators and Technicians) and works as a Programme & Training Manager for Dubai Police in the UAE. Manuel joined DAN Europe in 2009 as a First Aid Instructor and later progressed to the roles of Trainer and Regional Research Coordinator. He is also an ERC (European Resuscitation Council) Course Director for the BLSD course and he plays a key role in managing the training for RCAPP (Recompression Chamber Assistance Partnership Program).
