Smaller & lighter – perfect for swimmers Our RESTUBE swim is the next logical step of the RESTUBE idea. With a weight of just around 210 g it is the lightest and smallest Restube of all times. Because of its compact size and its ultralight material, it is perfect for active and ambitious swimmers. Still the buoyancy of the buoy is 75 N, enough for all body sizes. Another key feature of the “swim”- Version is the removable RESTUBE active stick. With the active stick it is easier to position the Restube and prevents it from shifting during long distance swims. The attractive honeycomb design of the used material makes the RESTUBE swim a comprehensive package.

Is RESTUBE a substitute for a lifejacket?
No, because RESTUBE is not safe when unconscious.
Why does RESTUBE not fall under personal protective equipment (PPE)?
The basic requirement for PPE is: The product is permanently attached to the body (the RESTUBE is not, because there is a safety line) By attachment alone, the product offers protection against danger (in this case: from drowning). This does not apply to RESTUBE, as it requires additional movements (triggering, holding) by the user. RESTUBE does not fall within the EU Directive 89/686/EEC (guidelines on personal protective equipment) RESTUBE requires a CE marking, which would testify that it complies with the guidelines RESTUBE cannot use the CE marking, because it does not fall under a category that is regulated by the EU.
