• DAN Europe is looking for dive bloggers to join its 2016 road-trip starting in May
• Voluntary placement includes visually documenting the adventure on DAN's blog and social media platforms
International dive research and safety non-profit organisation DAN Europe is looking for adventurous dive bloggers to join its three-month summer road-trip starting in May.
The DAN Road Trip, as it has been called, will see a dedicated team of DAN researchers, representatives and the lucky blogger drive an 4,000km across 20+ cities to meet and greet people from the diving community and share their love and passion for the underwater world.
"Starting in Sardegna, we will drive to Sicily, Malta, Italy, France, Spain and ending in Portugal. This will give lucky bloggers the opportunity to experience a dream job - driving across beautiful Mediterranean landscapes, immersing themselves in the world of diving while making important contacts with the different dive schools," says Cristian Pellegrini, DAN Head of Marketing & Communications.
Mr Pellegrini adds, "We are looking for people who are instinctive content creators. Ideally also underwater-loving writers, who have experience with photography and video. Every day you will chronicle what's happening, your experiences, who you will meet and find an exciting angle and story to keep our blog up to date. You would have a background in diving and journalism, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (knowledge of Italian, French or Spanish a plus), be energetic, social media savvy and hands-on, who takes own initiative and is also pro-active."
The voluntary placement starts on April 30th and includes visually documenting the adventure on DAN's exclusive blog and social media platforms.
Requirements
Bloggers must:
Be at least 20 years old
Available from May 30th - July 31st
Have a good command of English (both verbal and written) and compelling photography skills
Knowledge of other languages is a plus, especially Italian, French or Spanish
Understand social media
Have a background in communications, journalism and/or PR
Have a diving/driving license
Compensation
The chosen blogger will not get paid. However, DAN will cover for all travel expenses, including accommodation, transportation, food, sightseeing and online exposure.
DAN's blog is a niche for divers and passionate underwater travellers, with a reach of over 37,000 monthly readers.
